Approximately 54,930 Crate & Barrel Ana Dining Chairs sold in the United States are being recalled due to a defect that can cause the chair legs to break, posing a significant fall hazard to consumers. The recall, announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, affects chairs purchased between January 2021 and January 2025.

The affected dining chairs, sold in various colors including charcoal, gray, ivory, navy, and several velvet options, can be identified by specific SKU numbers found on the underside of the seat. The recall specifically applies to models with SKU numbers: 108-976, 109-100, 109-117, 109-123, 121-287, 436-035, 436-074, 436-096, 436-123, 686-763, 686-774, 387-127, 387-135, 387-141, and 387-166. It is important to note that chairs sold after January 23, 2025, are not included in this recall. The chairs were sold at Crate & Barrel stores and online at Crateandbarrel.com for prices ranging between $300 and $350.

Consumers who own the recalled Ana Dining Chairs are strongly advised to stop using them immediately. Crate & Barrel is offering a free replacement chair to all affected customers. Additionally, the company will arrange for the free pickup of the recalled chairs. To initiate the replacement process and schedule a pickup, consumers can contact Crate & Barrel toll-free at 800-451-8217. The customer service line is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Central Time, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Central Time. Alternatively, consumers can reach out via email at recall@createandbarrel.com or by visiting the product recalls section on Crateandbarrel.com.

The recall does not include chair models sold after January 23, 2025. The chairs were manufactured in China and imported by Euromarket Designs, Inc., dba Crate & Barrel, of Northbrook, Illinois. In addition to the units sold in the U.S., approximately 3,160 chairs were also recalled in Canada.
