Maryland State Police are extending invitations to families across the state for a series of Halloween-themed community events. These gatherings, organized by troopers, aim to provide a safe and festive environment for children and families to enjoy the autumn season. The events also present an opportunity for community members to interact with law enforcement officers and learn more about public safety initiatives in a relaxed setting.

The Maryland State Police Central Region will feature several events, including a trunk or treat on October 25th from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Maryland National Guard Armory in Westminster. Following that, the Golden Ring Barrack will host a trunk or treat on October 26th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 8908 Kelso Drive in Essex. The statewide initiative culminates with the MSP Annual Trunk or Treat at headquarters, located at 1201 Reisterstown Road in Pikeville, on October 29th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
In the Eastern Region, residents can attend a trunk or treat event at Centreville Middle School on October 23rd from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Berlin will host a “Touch A Truck-N-Treat” on October 25th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Stephen Decatur Park. Salisbury will offer a drive-thru trunk or treat on October 29th from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. along North Salisbury Boulevard. The MSP Explorer Program is organizing a trunk or treat in Easton on October 29th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Princess Anne will have a haunted house and trunk or treat at Washington High School on October 31st at 6 p.m.
The Northern Region’s schedule includes a trunk or treat event with the Boys & Girls Club in Bel Air on October 24th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. On the same evening, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Singerly Fire Company in North East will host a trunk or treat. Additionally, Aberdeen will host a Public Safety Day on October 25th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
For those in the Southern Region, Leonardtown is set to host “A Haunted Halloween Spooktacular” on October 25th from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home.
The Washington-Metro Region will see events including a trunk or treat at the New Carrollton Police Department on October 24th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and a Halloween treat meet and greet on October 31st from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Forestville.
In Western Maryland, the Hagerstown Barrack will hold a trunk or treat on October 21st from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cumberland will host its 8th Annual “Not So Scary Halloween” event on October 27th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Wiley Ford, West Virginia. McHenry will conclude the regional events with a community treat and trunk event on October 28th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
These events are designed to foster positive interactions between law enforcement and the public, emphasizing safety and community engagement during the Halloween season.
