Leesburg, VA – The Leesburg Police Department is actively investigating the distribution of flyers containing Ku Klux Klan (KKK) references that were discovered in the downtown area on the morning of Saturday, October 18, 2025. Responding officers collected several of the flyers and have initiated a canvass of the affected locations. The Leesburg Police Department has stated its commitment to maintaining Leesburg as a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals. The department condemns the dissemination of materials that foster hate or intolerance within the community.

Authorities are requesting assistance from residents and business owners in the downtown district. Individuals with video surveillance systems are encouraged to review footage for any suspicious activity that may have occurred between midnight and 6 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, which could be pertinent to the investigation into the flyer distribution.
