The recalled units, identified by model numbers NTRW19147.0, NTRW19147.1, NTRW19147.2, or NTRW19147.3, can be distinguished by a decal on the rower’s base bearing the model number. These machines are primarily black, gray, and white, with “NordicTrack” branding on the front legs and “RW900” on the back legs. The affected rowing machines were sold nationwide at retailers such as Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Nebraska Furniture, and ABT stores, as well as online through nordictrack.com and Amazon.com. Sales occurred between November 2018 and April 2022, with an approximate retail price of $1,700.

Consumers who own one of the recalled NordicTrack rowing machines are urged to immediately stop using the equipment and unplug it from any power source. iFIT is offering a free home repair service, which involves a qualified technician replacing the screen console. To arrange for this repair or to obtain further information, consumers can contact iFIT directly. The company can be reached toll-free at 833-680-4348 between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. Mountain Time, Monday through Friday. This recall impacts consumers who purchased the NordicTrack RW900 model between late 2018 and early 2022. The primary concern is the potential for the screen console to overheat and cause a fire, a risk that necessitates immediate action from owners. The recall process involves a free repair by iFIT to replace the faulty component, mitigating the fire hazard. Owners are advised to cease using the machine until the repair is completed. The company is also offering support through phone, email, and their website for customers seeking to resolve this safety issue.
