Blood donations are a critical component of healthcare, supporting a wide range of medical needs including emergency treatments, surgical procedures, and cancer therapies. By donating blood, individuals directly contribute to saving lives and strengthening the health of the community. The organizers are particularly highlighting the need for Type O, B-, or A- donors to consider making a Power Red donation, which can assist even more patients. To ensure a streamlined process, appointments are strongly recommended. Potential donors can schedule their donation by visiting RedCrossBlood.org and using the sponsor code WashingtonCountyPSTC, or by contacting the American Red Cross directly at 1-800-733-2767. For specific inquiries about the blood drive, individuals can reach out to Chris Amos at camos@washco-md.net.
