But keeping the lights on and taking the fight to local accountability takes resources. Your monthly subscription directly funds our public records requests, website hosting, and time spent analyzing local government and events so you don’t have to.
We are the only newsroom in Washington County with facts-first focus, locally owned, independent, while keeping our core news content free. Will you help us keep it that way?
The Hub Pub, now under the ownership of Tammy Stanton, occupies the former premises of Benny’s Pub. This new venture aims to preserve the welcoming atmosphere of a neighborhood gathering spot while introducing a revitalized menu, an updated ambiance, and enhanced opportunities for community-focused events. The establishment’s Facebook page can be found at https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61578502227074, and direct inquiries can be made via phone at 301-791-5915.
The public is invited to join city officials and community members for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which will officially inaugurate The Hub Pub. Following the ceremony, attendees can anticipate a happy hour with snacks. Later in the evening, at 5:30 p.m., the pub will unveil a new mural and host a karaoke event. This event signifies a commitment to fostering community engagement and providing a new venue for local residents to connect and enjoy themselves. The presence of elected officials and local business representatives at the opening highlights the collaborative effort to support and grow Hagerstown’s vibrant business community.
