The recalled product consists of black cooling gel pads, measuring roughly 16.5 inches in length and 14.25 inches in width. These pads are designed with an inner cooling layer activated by a child’s weight and feature the white Hoovy logo in the bottom right corner. The hazard arises when the cooling gel pads are exposed to sunlight or left in a hot vehicle, causing them to become excessively hot and pose a burn risk to young children.
These cooling pads were available for purchase nationwide at Target stores and online through Target.com and Walmart.com between March 2025 and July 2025. The retail price ranged from $20 to $25. AMTRADING LLC, based in Brielle, New Jersey, is the importer of the affected product, which was manufactured in China.
Consumers who have purchased the recalled Hoovy Cooling Gel Insert Pads are urged to immediately discontinue use of the product. To receive a full refund, customers should contact AMTRADING directly. The company can be reached by phone at 888-259-1411, Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET, or via email at info@hoovyproducts.com. Further instructions for registering for the recall and for the proper disposal of the product can be found on the company’s website at https://hoovyproducts.com/pages/product-recall.
