Ayala was initially apprehended on September 17 and charged with strangulation. He is currently being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center. In collaboration with the Loudoun County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, further charges are pending as the investigation continues and forensic evidence is processed. The assault took place in the 0 block of Hancock Place NE.
