Baltimore residents are invited to participate in the Mayor’s Annual Fall Clean-Up and Day of Service on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. This event, organized by Mayor Brandon M. Scott, the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW), and the Mayor’s Office of Community Affairs (MOCA), will mark the conclusion of the city’s ambitious Charm City Cleanup initiative, which has been ongoing since July. The initiative has focused on beautifying neighborhoods through efforts like graffiti removal, litter and illegal dumping site cleanup, and pothole repair across 17 distinct areas of the city.

The Charm City Cleanup effort aimed to restore the appearance and foster a sense of pride within Baltimore. This year’s Fall Clean-Up is intended to build upon the momentum generated throughout the summer, reinforcing the idea that community collaboration is key to achieving a cleaner, safer, and stronger city. The event provides an opportunity for residents, community associations, and volunteer groups to actively contribute to neighborhood beautification.

Registration for the Fall Clean-Up is open from September 15, 2025, to October 17, 2025. Individuals interested in participating in their own communities can register by calling 311 or through the 311 website. Those wishing to volunteer at a mayoral-designated location or within a preferred city quadrant can register via a dedicated online portal.

Cleanup supplies, including bags, will be available for pick-up starting September 10 at two designated locations: 2840 Sisson Street (Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.) and 111 Kane Street (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.). A service request number is required to obtain supplies. Community groups and neighborhood associations are eligible to receive up to 50 bags, while individual residents can receive up to 5 bags. It is important to note that multiple registrations from the same organization or address will not result in additional supplies.

Participants who register their cleanup activities are encouraged to request trash collection in advance during the registration process. City trucks will be scheduled to collect bagged trash from designated locations on the day of the event. Any trash or debris not collected during the Fall Clean-Up should be securely bagged and placed out with regular weekly trash collection. Alternatively, residents can bring bagged trash to any Residential Recycling Drop-Off Center. However, commercial vehicles are not permitted at these centers. The city will not provide collection for bulk items or offer roll-off dumpsters for this event.

Volunteers who participate in registered cleanup activities can benefit in several ways. Students in grades 3–12 can earn Service-Learning Hours. Additionally, registered volunteers who sign up through 311 may be eligible to receive up to $30 in annual stormwater fee credits. For further information regarding volunteer opportunities or the event, individuals can contact DPW_Volunteers.Mailbox@baltimorecity.gov.
