The selection of the Farm of the Year is a significant acknowledgment of the crucial role agriculture plays within Washington County. The county is home to nearly 900 family farms, which are instrumental in providing food for the local population and bolstering the economies at local, state, and even national levels. The chosen farm and its family will receive formal recognition at the Board of County Commissioners Meeting scheduled for October 7, 2025. Further accolades will be presented at the Washington County Farm Bureau Annual Banquet on October 10, 2025, providing a platform to celebrate their achievements.
