According to a press release from the City of Frederick, residents are encouraged to participate in an annual survey that will inform the city’s advocacy efforts in Annapolis. This initiative, first launched by Mayor Michael O’Connor in 2023, provides a formal channel for residents to voice their concerns and priorities regarding state-level issues that impact Frederick. The survey is available online and will remain open until September 17, 2025. The feedback gathered will be instrumental in finalizing the city’s agenda before the Maryland General Assembly convenes on January 14, 2026. The General Assembly session is scheduled to conclude on April 13, 2026. During this legislative period, Maryland municipalities and organizations typically seek funding for local projects or advocate for policy changes beneficial to their communities. The Mayor has emphasized the importance of community engagement in the city’s advocacy work, stating that the administration will continue to provide avenues for residents to make their voices heard and work toward shared goals for the city.
