The public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the Washington County Election Center, located at 17718 Virginia Avenue in Hagerstown, Maryland. The purpose of this gathering is to receive public comments regarding several potential early voting sites. These proposed locations, listed in alphabetical order, are: American Legion – Clopper-Michael Post 10 in Boonsboro, Clear Spring American Legion Post 222, Hancock Town Hall & Community Center, Maugansville Ruritan Club in Hagerstown, Meritus Park in Hagerstown, The Fit Room at Fairgrounds Park in Hagerstown, Washington County Election Center in Hagerstown, Washington County Free Library, Smithsburg Branch, and Washington County Free Library, Fletcher Branch in Hagerstown.
The meeting will be accessible to the public, with the Washington County Election Center serving as the venue. While the proceedings will be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person, comments can only be made by those present at the hearing. For individuals who wish to submit written comments, these can be sent via email to washco.eletions@maryland.gov or by mail to the Board headquarters at 17718 Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21740. The Board has provided instructions for accessing the live stream, which can be found with the public notice.

The public’s participation in this process is crucial for ensuring that the chosen early voting sites are convenient and accessible for all registered voters in Washington County.
