A Leesburg resident has been charged with attempted murder and kidnapping following a violent incident that occurred on the evening of August 9, 2025. According to a news release from the Leesburg Police Department, Christian K. Pulley, 18, of Leesburg, arrived at the department’s headquarters around 10:00 p.m. to report that he had attempted to end the life of an individual known to him at a property in the 0 block of Catoctin Circle NE in Leesburg.

The report of the incident at the police station was quickly followed by a 911 call from a family member of the victim, who is a juvenile. Authorities responded to the scene, and the victim received medical attention for injuries sustained during the attack. Subsequent investigation by the Leesburg Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division gathered evidence that indicated the suspect had strangled the victim. Pulley was taken into custody and faces charges of attempted murder and kidnapping. He is currently being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
