Authorities in Chambersburg have issued arrest warrants for three individuals in connection with separate criminal incidents that occurred in the borough. Deon George Nichols, 27, is wanted following a violent altercation on June 26 in the 100 block of South Main Street. According to police, Nichols was involved in a dispute that escalated when he allegedly drew a firearm. A struggle ensued, during which the weapon discharged, striking the other party. Nichols now faces multiple charges including possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, carrying a firearm without a license, and disorderly conduct. His arrest warrant was issued on July 10.

Kirby Thayer, 50, is wanted in a separate incident involving the alleged theft of public property. On June 15, Thayer reportedly removed a tire boot from his vehicle and failed to return it. The incident, which occurred on East Queen Street, led to a theft charge and an active arrest warrant issued on July 11.

In a third case, 51-year-old Bobby Jo Dawn Buchanan is accused of felony retail theft. Authorities allege that Buchanan stole over $1,000 worth of merchandise from the Kwik Fill on Wayne Avenue. The incident triggered a felony charge, and a warrant for her arrest was issued the same day as Thayer’s.

All three suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in court. Chambersburg Police are urging anyone with information about their whereabouts to contact the department or leave a tip through Crime Watch.
