Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled batteries immediately and contact DR Power for a pro-rated refund. To qualify, users must follow the company’s destruction instructions, submit photographic proof of disposal, and complete a form on DR Power’s website. Disposing of these batteries requires extra care — they cannot be placed in regular trash or curbside recycling due to the high fire risk. Residents should contact their local hazardous waste collection centers for guidance on proper disposal procedures.

The recalled battery packs were manufactured in China by Ningbo New Team Import & Export Co. Ltd. and imported by Generac Power Systems Inc. They were sold through home improvement stores and online for prices ranging from $250 to $700, depending on the product configuration.
