Federal prosecutors claim Harris engaged in a series of fraudulent activities involving client funds, ultimately using the money for illegal financial transactions. The indictment details that Harris could face severe penalties if convicted, including up to 20 years in prison for each mail and wire fraud charge, up to 30 years for each bank fraud charge, and up to 10 years for each unlawful monetary transaction charge.
The case is being handled by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jarod J. Douglas and Jennifer T. Conklin. Investigations were conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation division. Authorities emphasized that the indictment is an allegation, and Harris remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
