According to DHS, Lopez Infante illegally entered the United States on August 1, 2023, and was released into the country two weeks later pending removal proceedings. Despite receiving a final order of removal from an immigration judge on September 25, 2024, Lopez Infante remained in the U.S. Authorities stated that this case highlights concerns regarding current immigration enforcement and public safety.
Federal and local law enforcement are actively collaborating to locate Lopez Infante. Homeland Security Investigations agents are working alongside the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department in what remains an open investigation. Citizens are encouraged to report any information related to the suspect by contacting the ICE tip line at 866-347-2423.
