Playworld Systems has issued a recall of its Unity Teeter Tunnels with Lexan Tops, following reports of serious injuries. The recall, announced on May 29, 2025, impacts approximately 329 units of playground equipment. Designed for children to stand, sit, lie down, or crawl inside, the seesaws pose a risk of serious injury if a child falls beneath the plank, potentially causing it to land forcefully on them.

Playworld Systems has received two reports of children being injured by the equipment. One child sustained a liver laceration, while another suffered fractures to the right tibia and fibula. The company urges immediate discontinuation of use and is contacting known purchasers to arrange for free repairs, which will be conducted by certified playground installers.

The Unity Teeter Tunnels were sold nationwide through Playworld Systems’ sales representatives and authorized independent sales agents between October 2014 and March 2025. Units were priced between $13,450 and $13,600. Manufactured in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, the equipment was available exclusively in the United States.
