The recalled devices include models MXB008, DBL6000M, and DBL6000P, all of which feature a circular LED display and are compatible with various devices. Models DBL6000M and DBL6000P also include a circular phone holder ring. The affected units were sold online through iWalkMall.com, Amazon.com, and other e-commerce platforms between July 2021 and March 2024, with prices ranging from $20 to $57. The power banks were produced in China and bear the brand name “iWALK” on the front, with the model and serial numbers printed on the back.
Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled products immediately and contact U2O Global for a refund. To initiate the refund process, customers must email a photograph of the power bank displaying the model and serial numbers, along with the word “Recalled” written on the device in permanent marker, to the company’s service email. Proper disposal of these batteries is crucial, as they cannot be discarded with regular trash or recycling due to fire hazards. Municipal hazardous waste facilities are the recommended disposal sites.
