Of the total distributed, nearly $1.1 million was awarded directly by the Foundation to nonprofits tackling a range of community challenges. Complementing these efforts, FirstEnergy employees raised over $1 million through the company’s United Way Campaign, aided by matching contributions from the corporation. In total, more than 800 nonprofit organizations and 104 United Way agencies have benefited from these contributions, demonstrating broad regional impact across the states where FirstEnergy operates.

In addition to financial support, FirstEnergy encourages employees to volunteer in their communities by offering 16 hours of paid volunteer time annually. So far in 2025, employees have dedicated nearly 5,000 volunteer hours to nonprofit organizations, further reinforcing the company’s commitment to community engagement. This combination of financial and personal investment has helped extend the reach and effectiveness of local charitable programs.
