Consumers are being warned to stop using IxDregan Infant Swings following a federal safety alert issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on April 17. The agency found that the swings pose multiple serious safety risks, including a suffocation hazard due to improper incline and a failure to comply with battery safety regulations, putting infants at risk of injury or death.

The swings, which were marketed for infant sleep, violate the Safe Sleep for Babies Act because they exceed the legally allowed incline of 10 degrees. Inclined sleep products are widely recognized as unsafe for infants, increasing the risk of suffocation. Additionally, the swings lack mandatory safety warnings required by federal law, further compounding their risk.

One model in particular, labeled “WS-HB18-4,” was found to contain a remote control powered by a lithium coin battery. These batteries pose a separate hazard if ingested by children, potentially causing internal chemical burns or fatal injuries. The swing model failed to include the warning labels mandated by Reese’s Law for products containing such batteries.

The swings were sold online through Amazon.com and IxDregan.com for prices ranging from $110 to $140. Manufactured in China, the swings are labeled with either “WS-HB18-4” or “WS-HB18-2” and include the importer name “MBQMBSS.” They have a white base and cloth seating in either a gray or multicolored checked pattern. Labels identifying the product are located on a tag under the seat.

The CPSC issued a Notice of Violation to Shanghai Yunmiu E-commerce Co. Ltd., doing business as IxDregan, but the company has not recalled the products or offered consumers any form of remedy. Consumers are urged not to sell or give away the swings and instead dispose of them in accordance with local regulations.
