In addition to Hyde’s departure, the Orioles have relieved Major League Field Coordinator and Catching Instructor Tim Cossins of his duties. Cossins, a long-time staff member and key figure in the club’s development strategy, was acknowledged for his significant contributions to the organization. The front office emphasized appreciation for both individuals’ efforts and leadership during their tenure.
Stepping in as interim manager will be Third Base Coach Tony Mansolino, who has been with the Orioles since 2021. Mansolino brings extensive experience from the Cleveland Guardians’ system, where he served in multiple coaching and managerial roles across their minor league affiliates from 2011 to 2020. He also held the role of interim third base coach for Cleveland’s major league team during much of the 2020 season.
