Court documents state that Lynch drove a dark-colored SUV to the targeted business and entered the premises armed. He physically restrained a store employee, forcing him into an office by his collar and breaking his necklace. Lynch then used a hydraulic tool to access the store’s ATM, extracting $65,780 in cash. He subsequently entered the office with the employee, where he stole an additional $6,940 in cash and $11,852 worth of cigarettes, all belonging to the business or its financial partners.
Federal authorities noted that the robbery involved both intimidation and force, with Lynch brandishing a firearm throughout the crime. The charges carry a mandatory minimum prison term of five years, with the possibility of life in federal prison. Sentencing is scheduled for September 2, 2025, before U.S. District Judge Lydia K. Griggsby in Greenbelt.
