Freddie Anthony Curry, 54, pleaded guilty in federal court to charges stemming from a 2024 investigation by federal agencies including the FBI, DEA, and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. Law enforcement officers began surveillance on Curry last May, verifying his involvement in suspected drug activity. Subsequent searches of his residence and vehicle uncovered approximately 980 grams of fentanyl, over a kilogram of cocaine, digital scales, drug-packaging materials, and a loaded Glock 19 handgun. Curry is barred from possessing firearms due to previous felony convictions.
If the plea agreement is accepted, Curry will serve a 10-year sentence in federal prison. Sentencing is scheduled for June 30, 2025. The case was prosecuted under the Department of Justice’s Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative, which promotes collaboration between law enforcement agencies and communities to reduce gun violence and drug-related crime.

Curry’s case is also part of the Baltimore Strike Force Initiative, a broader effort involving multiple federal and local agencies aimed at dismantling major drug trafficking and organized crime operations. The initiative leverages intelligence-sharing and joint operations to target the region’s most dangerous criminal networks. Prosecutors emphasized the significance of interagency cooperation in bringing cases like this to resolution.
