A Virginia man is facing multiple felony charges following separate armed road rage incidents on Maryland highways, including firearm brandishing and a shooting. Authorities say the accused was identified and arrested after investigations tied him to both cases, neither of which resulted in injuries. He is currently awaiting extradition to Maryland.

According to police, the first incident occurred on February 25 along the outer loop of Interstate 495 near the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, where a driver reported having a firearm pointed at them by a suspect in a gray Jeep. Maryland State Police later identified the suspect as 34-year-old Perry Ellis Barmore of Alexandria, Virginia. He was arrested after a search of his residence uncovered a loaded handgun, and he was released to home detention in mid-March.
Barmore was later linked to a second, unrelated incident from August 24, 2024, near Maryland Route 202 and White House Road. In that case, a victim reported that a shot was fired at him during a road rage altercation involving a gray Jeep. As with the earlier incident, the victim was unharmed.

On April 18, Barmore was apprehended in Virginia by the Maryland State Apprehension Team and the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force. He is now facing charges including attempted murder, felony assault, and various firearm violations. Extradition proceedings are currently underway to return him to Maryland for prosecution.
The Maryland State Police emphasized their ongoing efforts to reduce gun violence on state highways and are continuing investigations into several other violent incidents. Authorities are encouraging the public to provide any relevant information, assuring that callers can remain anonymous.
