The indictment, returned on April 8, 2025, charges Eli Valentine Calero, 43, of East Stroudsburg, and John Charles Ehrhard, Jr., 56, of Stroudsburg, with conspiring to distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, between May 2024 and March 2025. Ehrhard, Jr. is accused of multiple methamphetamine distributions and possessing a firearm and ammunition while prohibited due to a prior felony conviction.
Authorities also allege that Calero was in possession of over 500 grams of methamphetamine and cocaine on March 12, 2025, with the intent to distribute. The indictment is the result of a joint investigation conducted by the FBI and the Pennsylvania State Police, with prosecution led by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jenny P. Roberts.

The case falls under Operation Take Back America, a federal initiative aimed at dismantling transnational criminal organizations and reducing violent crime through enhanced coordination across DOJ programs, including Project Safe Neighborhoods. If convicted, the defendants face up to life imprisonment, supervised release, and significant fines.
Federal charges are merely accusations, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
