AmesburyTruth has issued a recall for approximately 200,000 Ashland casement window hinge tracks after identifying a potential safety hazard. The recall, announced on April 3, 2025, affects both 10-inch and 14-inch two-bar hinge tracks that may cause window sashes to fall due to the metal sliding arm disengaging from the hinge. Although no injuries have been reported, two incidents involving this failure have been documented.

The affected products include part numbers 2003558, 2003559, 2004271, and 2004272, and can be identified by the markings “R10,” “L10,” “R14,” or “L14” on the hinge track. These components were sold to residential and commercial window manufacturers nationwide between April 2024 and January 2025. The tracks were manufactured in Mexico by Amesbury Industries Inc., operating as AmesburyTruth, based in Houston, Texas.
Consumers are advised to keep affected windows closed and locked until they are inspected. AmesburyTruth is offering free inspections and replacements for hinge tracks found to have the defect. Affected consumers can contact the company via its toll-free number, email, or through its website for more information and to arrange service.

The recalled hinge tracks were distributed through various window manufacturers and service parts providers across the United States. Each unit retailed for approximately $2. While no injuries have occurred so far, the risk of impact injuries from falling window sashes prompted the proactive recall.
