Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) has issued a recall for more than 4,000 Model Year 2025 Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles in the United States due to a potential crash hazard. An issue with the engine control module (ECM) could result in a loose component entering the throttle body area, potentially causing the throttle to stick and increasing the risk of an accident.

BRP received four reports of throttles sticking due to the issue but has not reported any injuries. Consumers are advised to stop using the affected snowmobiles immediately and contact a BRP dealer for a free inspection and repair. Dealers will examine the ECM and throttle body for broken components, removing any loose parts and replacing the ECM if necessary. The recall covers approximately 4,144 units in the U.S. and 2,205 in Canada, all sold between February and November 2024 for prices ranging from $10,000 to $20,000.
The snowmobiles were manufactured in Canada and imported to the U.S. by BRP US Inc., based in Sturtevant, Wisconsin. Owners can check for inclusion in the recall by visiting the Ski-Doo or Lynx websites and using the Safety Recalls section, or by contacting BRP toll-free.
