Sapitro’s military journey began in the Army Reserves, where she built a foundation in endurance training. Seeking greater challenges, she transitioned to active duty but found that the Army’s career options did not align with her aspirations. Instead, she enlisted in the Marine Corps as an aviation maintenance technician, immersing herself in a culture that emphasized strength and resilience. Surrounded by Marines dedicated to fitness, she embraced weight training and soon realized her potential in lifting.
As her career progressed, Sapitro sought more than personal growth—she wanted to lead and mentor others. This drive led her to become an officer, allowing her to support and guide young Marines. Recognizing the struggles she faced as an enlisted Marine, she aimed to create opportunities and serve as a role model. Her mother, Diane, noted that Sapitro had always been determined and eager to help others, pushing herself to inspire those around her.

Her involvement in strength training took a competitive turn when a coach noticed her handling heavy weights with ease while volunteering at an event. Encouraged to enter strongman competitions, she began training on her own, later seeking professional coaching to refine her skills. After experimenting with online programs and personal coaches, she found a strong training environment at Iron House Gym in Davenport, Florida, where owner Alan Colley provided guidance that significantly improved her performance.
Now competing regularly, Sapitro recently participated in a firefighter-themed strongman competition in Westminster, Maryland, featuring challenges like a firetruck pull and a fire hose press. She views these events not just as personal milestones but as opportunities to motivate others—whether fellow Marines or civilians—who aspire to push their own limits in strength training.
Her journey, marked by perseverance and a commitment to both self-improvement and mentorship, reflects her belief in lifting others while achieving personal excellence. Sapitro continues to train and compete, driven by a passion for fitness and the support of those who have encouraged her along the way.
