We know you value local news and entertainment that is free, open, and independent. Producing high-quality, paywall-free content isn't free. The facility provides residential care for senior women, offering services such as medication management, assistance with daily activities, and home-cooked meals featuring clients’ favorite recipes. Additional services include transportation for appointments and shopping. Golden Girls Assisted Living has capacity for up to five residents, creating a personalized and comfortable environment.
“I call Hagerstown my home now,” Tillman stated. “We need a little over a million more beds in the next 10-15 years for the baby boomers. That means there’s a lot of work to be done. I can’t do it all by myself, but I can help. And we can all work together. Together, we can make it better.”

Tillman, who relocated from Frederick due to the availability of single-level homes suited for senior care, emphasized the importance of community and the growing demand for senior living spaces. She noted that the increasing need for elder care, driven by the aging baby boomer population, inspired her to contribute to this effort in Hagerstown.
