“Escape” was a radio anthology series that aired from 1947 to 1954 on CBS. It focused on high-adventure stories, often featuring protagonists in life-threatening situations. Despite its popularity, it lacked consistent sponsorship, resulting in frequent schedule changes and lower production budgets. The show is well-remembered for its iconic opening line: “Tired of the everyday grind? Want to get away from it all? We offer you… Escape!” It adapted works from famous authors like F. Scott Fitzgerald and H.G. Wells.
