Kelly Bell Band Live Performance – September 28, 2024
Get ready for a night of incredible live blues music as the Kelly Bell Band takes the stage on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Main Street Park, located at 25 E. Main Street in Waynesboro. From 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, the award-winning Kelly Bell Band, known for their “Phat Blues,” will entertain the crowd with their high-energy performance. The band has been recognized as the “Best Blues Band” in the Mid-Atlantic region 12 years in a row and has also been praised by Baltimore Style Magazine as the “Best Band.”
Tickets are just $10 and can be purchased via Eventbrite or at the door. The event is sponsored by local businesses including Erin Shank State Farm, Tom Shockey Collision, Varner Roofing, and Owls Club of Waynesboro. Be sure to bring your own chair and enjoy this memorable evening. A food truck from Rough Edges Brewing will also be on-site, providing delicious food and drinks.

Annual Chili Cook-Off and Market Day – October 5, 2024
Next up, Waynesboro’s Market Day is set to take over Main Street on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This popular event features a variety of craft vendors, sidewalk sales, delicious food, live entertainment, and activities for kids. A Scarecrow Contest will add a festive autumn touch to the day, with participants showing off their creativity.
One of the highlights of Market Day will be the Chili Cook-Off Competition, running from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Main Street Park. This non-professional cooking contest offers a chance for participants to show off their chili-making skills and win cash prizes! Whether you’re a chili connoisseur or just looking for some delicious samples, this is an event not to miss. Entry is open only to non-professionals, and more information can be found on the Mainstreet Waynesboro website or by contacting event organizer Cari.
In addition to the cook-off, live entertainment will keep the crowd buzzing throughout the day. The Maryland Symphony Orchestra will kick things off at 11:00 AM, followed by performances from Drew Adams from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, and the band Steel Rose from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Other fun activities scheduled for the day include the Boro Bake-Off at 11:30 AM and a Pie Eating Contest at 1:30 PM, adding even more excitement to the festivities.
