At approximately 7:35 a.m., troopers from the Maryland State Police Frederick Barrack were dispatched to the scene following reports of the crash. Upon arrival, they discovered that the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, identified as 41-year-old Daniel Edward Ryan from Ridgeley, West Virginia, had sustained fatal injuries. Frederick County emergency medical service personnel declared Mr. Ryan deceased at the scene.
