The event, which took place on April 24, 2024, was celebrated with a Grand Opening ceremony and ribbon cutting, underscoring the Foundation’s commitment to serving the local community.

Having served Washington County for 27 years, the Community Foundation has been instrumental in channeling support to numerous nonprofits and students through grants and scholarships, totaling over $35 million. Established in 1997 with a single fund of $9,000, the Foundation has experienced remarkable growth, now boasting over 425 funds valued at more than $65 million.

The decision to relocate to a new office space was motivated by the Foundation’s expanding operations and the need for increased capacity to accommodate its growing staff. Additionally, the new location offers enhanced accessibility for donors and the wider community, fostering greater engagement and collaboration.
The Grand Opening event was attended by distinguished guests, including representatives from the Washington County Commissioners, who presented citations acknowledging the Foundation’s move. Board Members and supporters of the Community Foundation also joined in the celebration, highlighting the significance of this milestone for the local philanthropic landscape.
Facilitating the ribbon cutting ceremony was the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, an organization with which the Community Foundation has maintained a longstanding partnership for over 21 years.
