Claudia Cramasta, the owner of Distorted Dreams Haunted House, expressed her excitement about this year’s haunted attraction. “This year we are much bigger as we expanded,” she noted. “But the general ticket price didn’t change. Still $20 per person. The theme is an old orphanage/asylum, and we have lots of new props and special effects.”

Claudia and her husband Jonathan Cramasta have a rich history in the haunt industry, with over 16 years of experience in designing, building, and operating haunted attractions. “We are The Haunters 365 days a year!” she chuckled. “We are thrilled to bring this to the community again—a mixture of Halloween fun and history, since Fort Ritchie has much history! We are diligently working to fine-tune the details to bring a commemorative experience to our patrons.”

Distorted Dreams Haunted House has a lineup of special nights that are sure to send chills down your spine. On September 29th, they are hosting Hero’s night, where military, police, and first responders get free admission with proof of ID. October 13th promises to be a particularly special evening, with a guest appearance confirmed from an actress from the iconic movie Scream. For those seeking the ultimate test of bravery, November 3rd is Blackout night, followed by November 4th, which is exclusively for guests aged 21 and older.

However, there are some important guidelines and rules visitors must adhere to during their haunted journey. The attraction warns against bringing bags, purses, backpacks, masks, or costumes. Proper footwear is necessary, as flip flops, sandals, or high heels are not recommended. Cell phone use is strictly prohibited inside the attraction, and no video or flash photography is allowed. Distorted Dreams also advises that individuals with certain medical conditions, such as asthma, heart conditions, seizures, anxiety disorders, respiratory conditions, and claustrophobia, should not enter the attraction. Safety is paramount, and patrons are encouraged to review all guidelines on the official website.
