The affected vehicles include specific model numbers KRT1000D, KRT1000F, and KRT1000G, all manufactured in lime green. These off-road vehicles were sold by authorized Kawasaki dealers nationwide between June 2025 and January 2026, with prices ranging from $37,200 to $43,700. Owners can identify their vehicle’s VIN on the right rear of the main frame, located underneath the rear fender and above the rear wheel. The model numbers are also listed in the owner’s manual.

Kawasaki Motors USA is initiating a free repair for all affected vehicles. Consumers are strongly advised to cease using these recalled vehicles immediately. To arrange for the repair, customers should contact a Kawasaki dealer. The remedy will involve replacing the moveable clutch sheave assembly, installing a clutch cover guard, and reprogramming the vehicle’s Engine Control Unit (ECU). Kawasaki has stated they are proactively contacting all known purchasers of the affected vehicles directly. While there have been 19 reports of the drive converter sheave breaking, no injuries have been reported in connection with this issue.
