According to information released by the FBI, the investigation was initiated on June 10th, when authorities became aware of the potential threat. The alleged plan involved the use of explosive-laden drones and was reportedly discussed among at least 23 individuals through encrypted communication channels using the app Signal. These individuals were allegedly engaged in pre-operational activities related to the planned attacks. The swift actions of the FBI and its partners are credited with preventing any potential harm to the public during the large-scale event, which was described as historic.
The FBI emphasized that this successful intervention exemplifies the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to detect, respond to, and prosecute those who pose a threat to American citizens, especially during significant public gatherings.
