An additional person on the ground, who sustained serious injuries in the crash, passed away 51 days after the incident. Furthermore, twenty-three people on the ground were injured in the aftermath of the crash.
The investigative hearing is scheduled to take place at the NTSB’s boardroom in Washington, D.C. For those unable to attend in person, the proceedings will be made available via livestream. Further details regarding the hearing’s agenda, the list of witnesses, and other pertinent information will be released in the coming weeks. The NTSB utilizes investigative hearings as a crucial component of its accident investigations, aiming to gather comprehensive information necessary to establish the facts and circumstances surrounding transportation accidents. While the hearing is open to the public, participation in discussions and questioning is restricted to NTSB board members, investigators, witnesses, and designated parties involved in the investigation. Additional resources related to this investigation, including video footage from media briefings, photographs, the preliminary accident report, and ongoing investigative updates, can be found on the dedicated investigation webpage.
