The recalled product is the Mint Leaf Date Sweetened Chocolate Bar, sold in a 2.1-ounce size. The specific lot affected by this recall is #025255. Consumers can identify the affected product by its brand name, Spring & Mulberry, its teal-colored packaging, the “Mint Leaf” flavor designation, and the lot code #025255, which is printed on the back of the packaging and the inner flow wrap. This product has been available for purchase nationwide through online channels and select retail stores since September 15, 2025.

Salmonella contamination presents a significant health risk. Young children, the elderly, and individuals with compromised immune systems are particularly vulnerable to serious, and in some cases, fatal infections. Symptoms of Salmonella infection in healthy individuals typically include fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In more severe instances, the infection can spread to the bloodstream, leading to severe complications such as infected aneurysms, endocarditis, and arthritis. Prompt medical attention is advised for anyone experiencing these symptoms.

Although no illnesses or adverse health effects have been reported to date in connection with this specific lot, Spring & Mulberry is undertaking the recall out of an abundance of caution. The potential for contamination was identified following routine testing conducted by a third-party laboratory.

Consumers who have purchased the affected Mint Leaf Date Sweetened Chocolate Bar lot (#025255) are strongly advised to dispose of the product. To receive a refund, customers are instructed to contact Spring & Mulberry directly at recalls@springandmulberry.com and provide a photograph of the lot code from the product packaging.
