According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), approximately 201,000 Ozark Trail Tabletop 1-Burner Butane Camping Stoves have been recalled due to serious burn and fire hazards. The stoves, identified by model number BG2247A1, have been linked to 26 reports of explosions or fires, resulting in 16 reported injuries, including second-degree burns.

The affected camping stoves are dark green and feature an orange “Ozark Trail” logo on the front. The model number BG2247A1 can be found on a gray label located inside the fuel compartment. These stoves were sold at Walmart stores nationwide and online at Walmart.com between March 2023 and October 2025. Prices ranged from $8 to $45. The stoves were manufactured by China Window Industry Co., Ltd, of Taipei, Taiwan, and imported by Walmart Inc., of Bentonville, Arkansas.

Consumers who have purchased these stoves are urged to immediately discontinue their use. To receive a full refund, the recalled stoves should be returned to any Walmart retail store.
