Approximately 24,300 Outdoor Master children’s and youth helmets are being recalled because they do not meet the mandatory safety standard for bicycle helmets, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. The helmets may fail to adequately protect users in the event of a crash, posing a risk of serious head injury or death.

The recalled products include two models: the OM-TD BIKE children’s helmet, which is blue with a dinosaur print and sold in a children’s small size (head circumference 48-52 cm), and the OM-KSKB youth helmet, which is deep green and sold in a youth small size (head circumference 46-52 cm). Both models feature the “Outdoor Master” brand name printed on them and were sold online through Amazon.com and Walmart.com between June 2024 and February 2025 for between $20 and $32.

Consumers who purchased these helmets are advised to immediately stop using them. Outdoor Master is offering full refunds for the recalled items. To initiate the refund process, consumers should contact Outdoor Master via email at care@outdoormaster.com or visit the company’s website at https://outdoormaster.com/pages/recall for further instructions.

No incidents or injuries have been reported in connection with this recall. The helmets were imported by Maysun Products, Inc., doing business as Outdoor Master, of Chino, California, and manufactured in China.
