The Town of Leesburg is partnering with the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System (LC-CFRS) for its inaugural “Heroes for the Holidays” Toy Drive. This initiative, in collaboration with the Loudoun Career Firefighters Association Local 3756, aims to ensure that children and families in need throughout Loudoun County receive gifts during the holiday season. Building upon a longstanding tradition of supporting the U.S. Marines’ Toys for Tots program, this new local effort seeks to broaden its reach.

Donations of new, unwrapped toys suitable for children of all ages will be accepted until Tuesday, December 5. Collection points have been established at five Town facilities, including Town Hall located at 25 West Market Street, and the Thomas Balch Library at 208 West Market Street. Residents can also drop off donations at the Leesburg Police Department at 65 Plaza Street NE, the Ida Lee Park Recreation Center at 60 Ida Lee Drive NW, and the Leesburg Executive Airport at 1001 Sycolin Road SE. For those who prefer to contribute financially, monetary donations can be made through the Loudoun Career Fire Fighters Foundation (LCFFF) website. Donors are asked to specify “Heroes for the Holidays Toy Drive” in the note field. Funds collected will directly support local non-profits that are part of the Toy Drive and will be used to purchase toys for children within the county.
