The City of Frederick has announced the initial results from in-person voting in the recent General Election, encompassing both early voting and Election Day ballots. These preliminary figures do not represent the final outcome of the election, as mail-in, drop box, and provisional ballots still require tabulation during the ongoing canvassing process. Residents can access updates and view election results on the City’s dedicated election webpage, and through livestreams of the canvassing proceedings.

The Board of Supervisors of Elections is scheduled to commence the canvassing of remaining ballots on November 6, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in Conference Room C at the Municipal Annex, located at 140 West Patrick Street. This process will include the examination of mail-in and drop box ballots, as well as provisional ballots. The canvassing will continue daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on business days until all votes are tallied. The public is invited to observe the canvassing process, which will also be accessible via livestream on the City’s YouTube Channel.
The City of Frederick plans to post election results and share updates throughout the canvassing period. A schedule for these updates has been provided, with preliminary in-person results released on the evening of November 4. Subsequent updates on November 6, 7, and 10 will detail the progress of mail-in and drop-box ballot tabulation. The final official certification of the election results will also be streamed live on the City’s YouTube Channel at a date to be determined. All results are considered unofficial until the completion of the canvassing and certification stages. Further information and updates can be found on the City’s election webpage.
