The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a stark warning, urging consumers to immediately cease using Honestcoolstore’s magnetic balls. The product has been found to violate mandatory toy safety standards due to its exceptionally strong magnetic force, posing a grave risk of serious injury or death if ingested by children.

According to the CPSC, approximately 1,600 of these magnetic ball sets were sold online through Amazon between November 2024 and July 2025 for around $35. The product may have also been distributed by various third-party sellers and available on other online platforms. These magnetic balls, measuring 3 mm (0.1 inch) in diameter, were sold in multi-colored sets containing 1,010 pieces. They are characterized by their separable nature and potent magnetic flux. The packaging typically features the label “Building Magnet-Balls Toys” on the front and the balls are housed in a clear plastic box. Manufactured in China, these items were intended for consumers who purchased them online.

The danger lies in the high-powered magnets, which can attract one another or other metallic objects once swallowed. This attraction can cause them to become lodged within the digestive system, leading to severe internal complications such as perforations, twisting, and blockages of the intestines. Such injuries can result in blood poisoning and, tragically, death. The CPSC has issued a Notice of Violation to Erdfvbvb, a company based in China operating as Honestcoolstore, for distributing these hazardous products. The firm has not yet responded to the CPSC’s requests for a recall.

Consumers are strongly advised to stop using these magnetic ball sets immediately and to dispose of them safely. It is imperative not to sell or give away these dangerous items to prevent further risk to children. If any product-related injuries or defects are experienced, the CPSC encourages reporting these incidents through the SaferProducts.gov website.
