The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is alerting consumers to cease using MOEYURO youth electric all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) immediately due to significant safety concerns. The ATVs have been found to violate mandatory safety standards for youth ATVs, presenting multiple risks including potential crashes, lacerations, and reduced visibility, which could lead to serious injury or death. Approximately 280 of these ATVs were sold nationwide on Amazon and potentially other online platforms between May and September 2025, with prices ranging from $496 to $620.

The CPSC has identified several critical safety failures in the MOEYURO youth ATVs. They do not meet essential mechanical suspension requirements, increasing the likelihood of a crash. Furthermore, the parking brakes are inadequate, failing to hold and posing a collision hazard. The design of the handlebars also presents a laceration risk, as a child’s body or head could be seriously injured if they impact the handlebars at speed. Adding to these dangers, the ATVs are entirely missing required safety reflectors, which are crucial for making the vehicles visible to other traffic and preventing accidents.
Beyond the immediate mechanical and design flaws, these youth ATVs are also lacking a required CPSC-approved ATV action plan. Such plans are mandated for manufacturers and distributors to ensure the promotion of ATV safety, encompassing crucial elements like rider training, the dissemination of safety information, age recommendations, and other preventative measures. The absence of this plan underscores a fundamental disregard for established safety protocols within the industry. The CPSC highlights that Off-Highway Vehicles (OHVs), including ATVs, are linked to an average of over 800 deaths and an estimated 100,000 emergency room visits annually.
The CPSC has issued a Notice of Violation to Zengxuebo, operating as the online seller ZeTachenUS, based in China. This seller has not yet agreed to recall the ATVs or offer any form of remedy to consumers who have purchased these potentially dangerous products. The recalled ATVs are described as having a 36V, 500W electric motor, advertised for children aged five and older. They measure 29.5 inches in length, 26 inches in width, and 40.5 inches in height, and were available in black, blue spider, ice-fire, and red color schemes. A notable characteristic is the presence of handlebar covers with white spots. The products themselves bear no discernible labeling or branding.
Consumers are strongly urged to stop using these MOEYURO youth ATVs immediately and to refrain from selling or giving them away. For those who have experienced a safety incident involving these ATVs or have identified a product defect, reporting is encouraged through the CPSC’s SaferProducts.gov website. This information is vital for tracking product safety issues and informing future regulatory actions.
