Approximately 5,800 sets of “Generic Magnetic Balls 1000pcs” have been recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission due to a significant hazard posed to children. The recalled toys, sold by Ritons on Amazon, violate mandatory toy safety standards because they contain loose, high-powered magnets. If swallowed, these magnets can attract each other or other metal objects within the digestive system, potentially causing severe internal injuries such as perforations, twisting, and blockages of the intestines. These complications can lead to blood poisoning and, in the most severe cases, death.

The affected products are described as sets of 1,000 multi-colored 3 mm (0.1 inch) magnetic balls. They are characterized by their strong magnetic flux and are separable. The packaging typically features the text “1000 Magnets” and “3MM” prominently on the front, and the balls are encased in clear plastic. These sets were available for purchase on Amazon from November 2024 through August 2025 for approximately $35. Consumers who have purchased these magnetic ball sets are strongly advised to immediately stop using them and keep them away from children. To receive a refund, consumers should contact Ritons via email at recall0817@163.com. Ritons will provide a prepaid shipping label for the return of the recalled products. No incidents or injuries have been reported in connection with this specific recall. The magnetic ball sets were manufactured in China and imported by Yiwuyichengmaoyiyouxiangongsi, which does business as the Amazon seller Ritons. This recall number is 26-012.
