Authorities report that a Black male, dressed in dark clothing, entered the store and took a cell phone from a display. The individual is alleged to have concealed the item on his person before leaving the premises without making a purchase. The suspect was reportedly a passenger in a gray Hyundai Elantra, which has since been identified as a rental vehicle. Police have released an image of the person they believe may have information pertinent to their ongoing investigation. At this stage, this individual is considered a person of interest, not necessarily a suspect. Residents with any information that could assist the Chambersburg Police Department in identifying or locating this individual are urged to come forward.
Law enforcement can be contacted directly at (717) 264-4131. Alternatively, tips can be submitted through the department’s online platform. The investigation is ongoing, with the reference ID for this case being 2025-10355. The case is classified as a criminal case and is currently active.
