The recall encompasses both 4-liter and 10-liter models of the Paris Hilton Mini Beauty Fridge, available in various colors including pink, white, aqua, and hot pink. Consumers can identify if their unit is part of the recall by checking the model and serial numbers located on the back of the 4-liter units and the bottom of the 10-liter units. Paris Hilton branding is also present on the product doors. Only units manufactured before August 2024 are included in this recall. The 4-liter models were sold for about $30, and the 10-liter models retailed for approximately $60.
The hazard arises from the potential for the electrical switch to short circuit, resulting in overheating and posing a fire hazard. Epoca International is aware of 27 reports where the mini fridges overheated and caught fire. While no injuries have been reported, these incidents have caused damage to the units and surrounding property.
Consumers who own one of the recalled mini fridges are instructed to immediately stop using the appliance, unplug it, and then register for the recall online at http://www.epoca.com/minifridgerecall. To qualify for a refund, consumers must complete an online form and submit three photographs. These photos should include the refrigerator door with the word “RECALL” written on it in permanent marker, a clear image of the label showing the model and serial number, and a final photo of the power cord after it has been cut and unplugged. Once these steps are completed, consumers should dispose of the recalled fridge in accordance with local and state regulations.
The recalled mini fridges were sold nationwide by retailers such as Walmart and Ross, as well as online through Walmart.com and Amazon.com, and other e-commerce platforms. Sales occurred between November 2022 and July 2025.
