According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of West Virginia, Vincent Irving Jones, a 34-year-old resident of Fairmont, West Virginia, has been sentenced to 151 months in federal prison. The sentence stems from charges related to methamphetamine possession and illegal firearm possession.

During court proceedings, it was established that Jones was found in possession of both methamphetamine and a pistol in Marion County. Court documents further revealed that Jones has a history of prior felony convictions, which legally prohibit him from possessing firearms. Assistant U.S. Attorney Will Rhee handled the prosecution of the case for the government. The investigation into these offenses was a collaborative effort between the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Fairmont Police Department. Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh presided over the sentencing. This case highlights the ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and illegal firearm possession in the region.
