Massachusetts Burglary Ring Busted: Six Romanian Nationals Face Criminal Charges and ICE Detention

Six Romanian nationals, all women, were arrested and face immigration detainers after being caught in a suspected multi-state burglary ring operating in Massachusetts. According to a press release from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the arrests took place on July 29, 2025, following a Norwood Police Department investigation and coordinated law enforcement action.

Local authorities initially detained the suspects after a high-profile break-in on July 25. Subsequent investigations revealed that several of the women had outstanding warrants in other states for similar offenses. Charges against them include breaking and entering with the intent to commit a felony, conspiracy, resisting arrest, and possession of burglarious instruments. Some of the accused reportedly have records spanning multiple jurisdictions and states.

Trump and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, both of whom have made border security and the removal of criminal non-citizens a top priority in the current federal administration. The incident underscores ICE’s continued use of detainers to prevent individuals accused of serious crimes from returning to communities before immigration proceedings are completed.
